Aruba information and links
As a former Dutch colony and with its Status Aparte Aruba has one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean. Dutch is the official language, but English, Spanish and the local language Papiamento are being spoken on the island.
With an average temperature of 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit and the fresh trade-winds, Aruba has a very pleasant climate. Besides excellent water-sports such as wind- and kite-surfing, diving, parasailing and snorkeling, Aruba has much more to offer.
For active and sportive tourists there are many other activities, like horseback-riding, golf, safari- and off the road tours along the wild North Coast.
Lovers of nature can enjoy our National Park ‘Arikok’ or can enjoy the panoramic view from the small local mountain ‘Hooiberg’ which is ‘Haystack’ in Dutch.
Oranjestad is also a shoppers-paradise for those who love jewelry, watches, perfumeries and brand name shops like Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tous, Mango, Benetton etc. And don't forget to enjoy the nightlife in Oranjestad with its many casino’s, bars, restaurants, hotel shows and cinema's.
All of this makes Aruba One Happy Island
